Patio Dining

With summer approaching and my husband and I not even being close to finishing up the design on the backyard I decided to go ahead and give the back patio a little refresh.
This week we hear back from our pool builder about the prices for the new design I want which will ultimately decide how the paver deck will look as well.  Waiting patiently...it's all we can do.

I searched around all the usual spots for a new dining set that would match our wicker conversation set. (The Beverly Set From Home Depot )  I decided down in Florida that metal sets just don't last in the long run. (And I was not going to sand and paint that thing again!)

As usual Wayfair came through with an awesome table and chairs that matched....however the BEST part is this set comes mostly assembled! The chairs are literally put together and all I need to do is pull them out the of the box! WIN! The table needs the legs screwed on but honestly how hard can that be right?!

This dining set gets great reviews and I'll obviously share my opinions in the next few weeks as well!

I can't wait for summer nights and dinner parties out back!

Neutrals by BEHR Paint

I've been working on a project for the past two weeks and what always seems to be the most challenging part is choosing paint colors.  I have been wanting to find a nice neutral that isn't too "Gray" and isn't too "Beige" but not too white either. I personally like the look of white walls in pictures but in reality I'm not a huge fan.  Also, I like to see a contrast between painted walls and white trim.  Each time I look over on Pinterest for inspiration I find lots of suggestions for other paint brands..but I'm a BEHR girl :)  We spend so much time at Home Depot it just makes more sense for us.  That being said I decided to share with all of you my suggestions for finding the perfect "light Greige" by BEHR Paints!   To start off with here are three options that are lighter/cooler but will still show a nice contrast next to white. 1. Drizzle 2. Sterling 3. Halation These three options are als

Weekend in Miami!

Over the past weekend we drove down to Miami and spent the night at our favorite beach front hotel..Marenas Resort.  It was our anniversary weekend and wanted to go somewhere we could have fun with the whole family. This is now the second time we have taken the girls to this particular resort (which is pretty impressive because both my husband and I love trying new places.) This resort offers "condo style" rooms which is awesome when traveling with children, has a really good onsite restaurant and is located right on Sunny Isles Beach.  The standard suite has views of both the ocean and the harbor. Stunning views! They also do NOT charge extra for beach chairs and umbrellas which is almost unheard of now a days.  It's moderately priced for everything your getting in this location. These are the views off the patios and around the pool.  I just love Miami's water! Its such a beautiful color and reminds me of the Bahamas!  We spent
