Because why not add to the chaos? Introducing Project Lake Crest!

In the midst of the chaos that comes along with the holidays...and xmas shopping..and building a pool...and myself signing on to not one but two Christmas campaigns this year my husband and I decided lets end the year with one more fixer upper! Introducing Project Lake Crest! This flip will be a little different than our regular because this  property is fairly new.  We do not need to do any plumbing, electrical, roof, gutting of kitchens and baths...you get the picture.  However it still won't be easy since the place is in bad shape.  Like I have to shower as soon as I get home after we visit this place. I honestly don't know how this even happens to a home.  It's BAD. It needs all new flooring, paint (every square inch), mirrors, appliances, blinds, fixtures...all that good stuff.  We are keeping the kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and painting them.  We have never done this in a flip house before because honestly usually the kitchen cabinets are falling

Fall Cocktaill Series (Pumpkin Pie Martini)

It's Thursday party people which means a new fall cocktail is ready for you and your weekend! I decided to end the series with a cocktail that embodies fall..the pumpkin pie martini.  When you combine pumpkin and vodka some pretty magical things happen :) Obviously. Enjoy! Ingredients: (Per Martini) -2 Tablespoons pure pumpkin puree -3/4 oz simple syrup -2 oz vodka -2 oz Baileys Irish Cream Liquor -1/8 tsp. pumpkin pie spice Recipe: Add all ingredients into your martini shaker with ice. Shake for about 40 seconds. Pour into a martini glass and sprinkle some pumpkin pie spice on top. *Make your own simple syrup by adding equal parts water and sugar in a saucepan.  Heat until sugar is dissolved and let cool.

Low Carb Pumpkin Pie Muffins!!

Naturally, as it is October I have been on the hunt for some Low Carb treats that involve this months star...pumpkin! Pumpkin Pie is literally one of my favorite pies and I was leery trying out these muffins because I assumed they would taste like crap lol. Just being honest!  Well I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious (like pumpkin pie) they were! Plus they are soooo easy to make and involve no hard to find tricky ingredients like most low carb desserts! I found this recipe on  www.kaseytrenum.com via pinterest. Ingredients: -2 80z Philadelphia Cream Cheese -1/2 cup sweetener (your preference..lots of people like Swerve) -2 eggs -1/2 cup pumpkin puree -1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice -1/2 teaspoon vanilla Recipe: 1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Soften the cream cheese in the microwave (or let it sit out on the counter for a few minutes) 3. Add all other ingredients to cream cheese and mix on medium/high until completely smooth. 4. Gr

$11 Nightstand Makeover with Magnolia Home Chalk Paint (for Kilz Brand)

Two weeks ago you probably remember how excited I was to receive a gift package from Magnolia Home featuring their new chalk paint line with KILZ Brand! Well I wasted no time getting down to business and immediately knew I wanted to redo a pretty beat up nightstand I scored for $11 from our Church Thrift Store.  This nightstand actually originally comes from a great furniture store here in Tampa so the bones were there. Solid wood, large, plus the drawers were even on sliders.  I was excited! I decided to sand the crap out of the top of this nightstand down to the bare wood and restain with a dark color I had already from a previous project.  After everything was smooth and stained I sealed the top with a clear poly.   BEFORE: I lightly sanded all the sides and drawers and used the Magnolia Home Chalk Paint by KILZ in the famous "Shiplap" color.  I love the dark and white contrast! How gorgeous does the wood look now?!

EASY Master Closet Makeover...I'm talking NO tools needed!

As most of you know a couple weeks ago I got so sick and tired of my crazy disaster of a master closet I decided to take on organizing it....however not just cleaning it out.  I needed to come up with a better closet system for my husband and I.   Originally I thought "Hey, I'll take down all these rods and buy a closet system that drills into the wall...and it will be so fun and easy!" HAHAHAHAHA.  Yeaaaaaa right! Those bad boys are expensive and who is kidding who here I can barely use a drill.  SO then I decided to look for simple closet systems that would solve the issues we had in our closet.  Which were: 1. Shoes 2. Purses 3. Hats These three issues were what really dragged it down and made it look like a hurricane swept through.  You can take a look at the "BEFORE" pics below as long as you promise not to judge!  I originally told you all I wasn't going to share my "befores" but a lot of you got a little angry at m
