One Room Challenge (Dining Room) - Week 3

Week THREE! I can't believe we are at the halfway point of the challenge already! This week has been a real game changer for the dining room.  The accent wall went up and it is AMAZING! I have to give a huge thank you to WallPops for partnering with me on the wallpaper. It is exactly...actually even better....than what I imagined for the wall!!

This is the NuWallpaper from WallPops! You may remember I have used their removable wall decals in my youngest daughters room as well as the play area in the loft.  This wallpaper was so easy to install! I actually did the whole wall (10ft ceilings and all) by myself!

This gorgeous blue patterned paper is the "Kensington Damask Paper"
Find the wallpaper here.....Kensington Wallpaper

To install the paper I started on the upper left side. As the roll drops you just smooth out the paper and lightly pull the backing down.

To smooth out and ensure I left no air bubbles I used a very high end tool...our community pool pass! LOL.  Seriously, any plastic credit card will do the trick.  No fancy tools needed.

In this last picture you can see the paper over our baseboards.  At this point I slid the card over the baseboard crease to form a nice indent.  Then you need to use a razor box cutter and go over the crease.

Easy Peasy People!! After the first row was finished I got back on the ladder and worked on the second row...and so on.  The most difficult part was cutting around the one window in the wall but honestly that wasn't too difficult either.

And just like that this week the dining room took on a WHOLE new gorgeous look!

I had my husband help hang up the Lenda curtains from IKEA this week as well.
You like that little fiddle leaf?! Me TOO!! All those details will be up next week...this was just a little tease :)

XOXO

Neutrals by BEHR Paint

I've been working on a project for the past two weeks and what always seems to be the most challenging part is choosing paint colors.  I have been wanting to find a nice neutral that isn't too "Gray" and isn't too "Beige" but not too white either. I personally like the look of white walls in pictures but in reality I'm not a huge fan.  Also, I like to see a contrast between painted walls and white trim.  Each time I look over on Pinterest for inspiration I find lots of suggestions for other paint brands..but I'm a BEHR girl :)  We spend so much time at Home Depot it just makes more sense for us.  That being said I decided to share with all of you my suggestions for finding the perfect "light Greige" by BEHR Paints!   To start off with here are three options that are lighter/cooler but will still show a nice contrast next to white. 1. Drizzle 2. Sterling 3. Halation These three options are als

4 Tips for Selling Your Home!

*Sponsored Post. Thank you to our talented guest blogger, Alex Berger, for sharing these 4 tips on selling your home!* Selling your home can be extremely stressful, but if you are in the beginning stages of the home selling process, I have a few tips for you! About four years ago, my parents packed up their home and moved from Marietta, Georgia to Amelia Island, which is about 30-40 minutes from the Jacksonville airport. They had no idea what to expect when it came to buying in a city that was completely new to them (they had only visited Jacksonville once - for two days!), so it was pretty stressful for them. Now, looking back, they could have done many things differently in order to make the process a lot easier for themselves, especially when it came to selling their home. But, since the selling process is so complex and stressful, a lot of people do it “wrong,” and they are just one of many, which is why I want to help. Here are a few tips for selling your home. Hopefully
