My HGTV Magazine DIY weekend project!

As you all know I've been crushing hard on navy (and well every shade) of blue lately. I first brought it into my master bedroom last year during my "mini bedroom makeover" and since then it's been spreading through my house!

I usually try to add in new colors through inexpensive accents and decor so a few months ago I purchased a gorgeous rich navy colored paint that I gave some old lanterns new life with.

This week when I picked up the June issue of HGTV magazine I saw a article on "how to paint a rattan basket." Now literally I was sitting on my couch reading directly looking at my rattan basket next to the TV console. So obviously you know what happened next!
