New Kitchen Tour!

Hey friends! I'm actually blogging!! haha! It's been a nice two week break but to be honest I was itching to get a post written! Since the kitchen is probably the "most finished" for now...sorta...room in the new house I figured I would start there!

This morning I snapped some pictures from different angles and I have all the details in front of me to share.  The kitchen in the new house is right in the middle, the heart of the home!
It opens directly up into the family room and the two archways you see take you into the dining room.
The hallway with the reclaimed wood takes you to the master bedroom, downstairs half bath and laundry room! I can NOT wait to share the whole house eventually. We moved from a 1200sq ft home to a 2600sq ft home. You can just imagine  how much my organizing OCD brain is ECSTATIC to have so much room and storage! (This post contains some affiliate links)

My new kitchen!
Wall Color: GrayCloth by BEHR Paints

(Photobomb by Bella :)  I brought my old bar stools from the old house for now but with the girls using the counter so much I really want to get some with backs.  So I'm on the hunt!
These two bar stools are from overstock.com

We went back and forth with the backsplash for a while..we eventually met in the middle with this one from Home Depot. It has the carrara in it that I wanted and the pieces of stainless that are in it make my more modern loving husband happy.  I think it was a nice compromise and still keeps the airy feeling I wanted to offset the darker cabinets and counters.

The countertops are Verde Ubatuba black granite from Brazil! (My hubbys home! )  The look solid black when the lights are not on, and when they are they pick up the cabinets nicely with a gold-ish sparkle.

My heaven!! These give me life! The extra height is so amazing! Our old kitchen had standard cabinets and not that many of them.  Those babies were PACKED! In this kitchen I literally have some empty...it brings a tear to my eye. :)

Originally we had plans to flatten this island/bar and make one large counter height island.  However as the budget got tight(er) we skipped that part and I don't even miss it!

The faucet of ALL faucets LOL! I sent my husband to grab the industrial faucet we use in a lot of our flips (You can look back in previous Flip posts and see) However Home Depot was out, my husband was tired and just wanted to buy something.  He calls me like "Well I found an awesome one but it's more than you would spend..." I told him just to go ahead and buy it and when he came home I was like ALL THE HEART EYES! The faucet is the Kohler Sous-Pro Style Single Handle Pull Down Sprayer.

We sold our house with all the stainless appliances and  my front loader washer & dryer.  Which meant I got to pick out all new appliances! I originally had my heart set on the black stainless but in the end we went with regular.  The entire set is by Samsung and so far I am in LOVE with them all.  The dishwasher is literally from another planet and the washer and dryer may be the coolest laundry machines ever.

You can see how the stainless pieces reflect the light in the backsplash.

I have linked these orb chandeliers before but in case you missed it here is the link again...

The end! Cheers friends! It's Sunday morning and mimosas are flowing! I can't wait to share the rest of our new coastal craftsman with you all!!
Happy Weekend!
XOXO

4 Tips for Selling Your Home!

*Sponsored Post. Thank you to our talented guest blogger, Alex Berger, for sharing these 4 tips on selling your home!* Selling your home can be extremely stressful, but if you are in the beginning stages of the home selling process, I have a few tips for you! About four years ago, my parents packed up their home and moved from Marietta, Georgia to Amelia Island, which is about 30-40 minutes from the Jacksonville airport. They had no idea what to expect when it came to buying in a city that was completely new to them (they had only visited Jacksonville once - for two days!), so it was pretty stressful for them. Now, looking back, they could have done many things differently in order to make the process a lot easier for themselves, especially when it came to selling their home. But, since the selling process is so complex and stressful, a lot of people do it “wrong,” and they are just one of many, which is why I want to help. Here are a few tips for selling your home. Hopefully

Neutrals by BEHR Paint

I've been working on a project for the past two weeks and what always seems to be the most challenging part is choosing paint colors.  I have been wanting to find a nice neutral that isn't too "Gray" and isn't too "Beige" but not too white either. I personally like the look of white walls in pictures but in reality I'm not a huge fan.  Also, I like to see a contrast between painted walls and white trim.  Each time I look over on Pinterest for inspiration I find lots of suggestions for other paint brands..but I'm a BEHR girl :)  We spend so much time at Home Depot it just makes more sense for us.  That being said I decided to share with all of you my suggestions for finding the perfect "light Greige" by BEHR Paints!   To start off with here are three options that are lighter/cooler but will still show a nice contrast next to white. 1. Drizzle 2. Sterling 3. Halation These three options are als
