Drink your greens AND wear your greens!

I know, I know....I have been super annoying sharing my favorite new morning smoothie on Instagram stories all month! Hahaha! I have also tried to always answer the questions about the recipe but I figured a blog post would make life easier! I found this smoothie (well a version of it) when I bought Kristin Cavallari's book "Balancing in Heels" right after the new year.  She mentions a smoothie almost identical to this one that she likes to drink in the morning! Also for anyone wondering I LOVE this book! It's a fun, easy read loaded with information that can make changing our lifestyle easy! Since getting this book I would say my family is eating probably 75% GMO free and literally all I buy is organic now.  I have also switched out cows milk for almond and coconut!

Back to the smoothie! I keep it very simple and if my husband is drinking one with me I just increase the almond milk and double the protein scoop!

RECIPE:

(one serving)
- 1 cup almond milk
-handful of spinach
-1 banana
-1 spoonful of peanut butter (or almond butter)
-one scoop of chocolate protein powder

We have been making this smoothie each morning after our morning walk (to school) and not only is it delicious but it keeps you full and energized all morning! FOR REAL! I actually don't even need my 2nd cup of "morning"coffee each day! I try to buy all organic products now which are easily found at my local Publix grocery store!

Now for the face mask!
Probably two or three weeks ago I started feeling like I constantly looked tired even though I get a solid 8 hours of sleep a night.  I have never really been into using eye creams so I thought now was a good time to start...being 33 and all!

I bought some under eye cream made by a popular brand (which = pricey) and I just wasn't convinced it was working.  Then I remembered in the book (above) Kristin mentions rubbing coconut oil under her eyes for hydration.  You probably know I am a huge fan of coconut anything! My husband and I love coconut water and there really is no better form of hydration! I have a huge container of the oil that I use for other things but I never really thought about dabbing some under my eyes.  Well, I started doing this each evening and I seriously have seen such an amazing difference.

However, along with the coconut oil I have also been giving my face biweekly avocado mask treatments! These are loaded with hydration as well and are perfect during the dry months of winter.
This recipe comes from Kristin's book as well!

RECIPE:
-Avocado
-Honey

Mash up half of an avocado and mix in 1 teaspoon of honey.  Apply to your face, leave on for ten minutes and rinse off.

There is another version of this mask I have tried where you also add 1 teaspoon of plain organic yogurt.  It changes the texture and I like the feel better so I usually alternate the two.

What do you think?! I hope you give some of these a try and let me know what you think!

XOXO

4 Tips for Selling Your Home!

*Sponsored Post. Thank you to our talented guest blogger, Alex Berger, for sharing these 4 tips on selling your home!* Selling your home can be extremely stressful, but if you are in the beginning stages of the home selling process, I have a few tips for you! About four years ago, my parents packed up their home and moved from Marietta, Georgia to Amelia Island, which is about 30-40 minutes from the Jacksonville airport. They had no idea what to expect when it came to buying in a city that was completely new to them (they had only visited Jacksonville once - for two days!), so it was pretty stressful for them. Now, looking back, they could have done many things differently in order to make the process a lot easier for themselves, especially when it came to selling their home. But, since the selling process is so complex and stressful, a lot of people do it “wrong,” and they are just one of many, which is why I want to help. Here are a few tips for selling your home. Hopefully

Neutrals by BEHR Paint

I've been working on a project for the past two weeks and what always seems to be the most challenging part is choosing paint colors.  I have been wanting to find a nice neutral that isn't too "Gray" and isn't too "Beige" but not too white either. I personally like the look of white walls in pictures but in reality I'm not a huge fan.  Also, I like to see a contrast between painted walls and white trim.  Each time I look over on Pinterest for inspiration I find lots of suggestions for other paint brands..but I'm a BEHR girl :)  We spend so much time at Home Depot it just makes more sense for us.  That being said I decided to share with all of you my suggestions for finding the perfect "light Greige" by BEHR Paints!   To start off with here are three options that are lighter/cooler but will still show a nice contrast next to white. 1. Drizzle 2. Sterling 3. Halation These three options are als
