My Coastal Craftsman Color Palette

As most of you know by now a few months ago my husband and I found our PERFECT house in our PERFECT neighborhood! We were determined to get this house despite having made peace with the fact we probably weren't going to move for a few more years. This house changed everything! It is literally like this house was made exactly for my family.  That being said it was a very emotional two months being under contract with some ups and downs and issues BUT finally last Friday we got the keys!

We went there that night with dinner and champagne and hung out with the neighbors and let the girls run wild and it was basically pure bliss! I still can't believe this dream of a house is ours.
The only good news of sitting in limbo for so long was that I got everything planned so that this week we could begin working on the things we need done.

This post in particular is about the color palette of the house.  I'll be sharing lots of posts all dedicated to specific topics!

Our current home is just under 1300 sq feet and my new one is 2600! I could just die! I have so much storage and so much room, I literally just stare at my kitchen..:) But that is for another post. Back to the paint.
The home is almost brand new so the exterior is in perfect condition and a beautiful color already so I just need to change the interior colors.  My husband wants this house to be a little more modern, I want to stick with traditional craftsman style and of course add in the coastal charm! I suppose we could call this project "My Coastal Craftsman with a modern twist".  Haha! Or whatever...lets just call it MY DREAM! :)

It's no secret I'm a BEHR girl so all my paint has come from Home Depot!

BEHR Blowing Kisses

BEHR Graycloth

BEHR Broadway

BEHR Sweet Bianca

BEHR Offshore Mist

Now where are all these colors going?! Stay tuned this week and see!! Also, the two patterned pics from the collage above are actually removable wallpapers that I am using as well!! They can be purchased from WallPops!
XOXO

4 Tips for Selling Your Home!

*Sponsored Post. Thank you to our talented guest blogger, Alex Berger, for sharing these 4 tips on selling your home!* Selling your home can be extremely stressful, but if you are in the beginning stages of the home selling process, I have a few tips for you! About four years ago, my parents packed up their home and moved from Marietta, Georgia to Amelia Island, which is about 30-40 minutes from the Jacksonville airport. They had no idea what to expect when it came to buying in a city that was completely new to them (they had only visited Jacksonville once - for two days!), so it was pretty stressful for them. Now, looking back, they could have done many things differently in order to make the process a lot easier for themselves, especially when it came to selling their home. But, since the selling process is so complex and stressful, a lot of people do it “wrong,” and they are just one of many, which is why I want to help. Here are a few tips for selling your home. Hopefully

Neutrals by BEHR Paint

I've been working on a project for the past two weeks and what always seems to be the most challenging part is choosing paint colors.  I have been wanting to find a nice neutral that isn't too "Gray" and isn't too "Beige" but not too white either. I personally like the look of white walls in pictures but in reality I'm not a huge fan.  Also, I like to see a contrast between painted walls and white trim.  Each time I look over on Pinterest for inspiration I find lots of suggestions for other paint brands..but I'm a BEHR girl :)  We spend so much time at Home Depot it just makes more sense for us.  That being said I decided to share with all of you my suggestions for finding the perfect "light Greige" by BEHR Paints!   To start off with here are three options that are lighter/cooler but will still show a nice contrast next to white. 1. Drizzle 2. Sterling 3. Halation These three options are als
