My Summertime Hair & Skin treatments

Summertime can be brutal on your hair and skin (especially summertime in Florida).  Our family is constantly swimming, beaching and taking out the boat out.   Between the sun, chlorine and salt water it's important to keep your hair protected and your skin moisturized. I started this beauty regimen back in 2008 right after I moved down to Florida (this hair serum) I actually got hooked on from a co-worker that used it.  One bottle lasts FOREVER because you only need a dime sized drop in your palm.  I use Biosilk all year but in the summertime I use it almost daily after I shower.  You just apply it to your wet hair! You can then blow dry it and style as you usually do.  (This stuff actually also feels great on your skin too!) It can be bought at most drug and beauty stores but I've included my affiliate link for easy shopping below!

Coconut oil is one of my favorite beauty secrets out there! You can use this stuff on just about anything..from food to you skin! I started using this "DIY Face Mask/Scrub" about two years ago and my skin has never felt or looked better. You only need two ingredients, that you probably already have in your kitchen!! I am obsessed with doing this mask twice a week or after boat and beach trips.  Trust me your skin will feel amazing!! Your pores look smaller your skin has a glow and is super soft! Coconut oil is so great for moisturizing your skin without making it oily. Give it a try!!

(Any organic coconut oil will work..I found this brand at SAMS Club)

RECIPE:
2 tablespoons of baking soda
1 Teaspoon of coconut oil
(you can add some water drops to create the paste texture you prefer)
Scrub your face with the paste for 1-2 minutes and rinse off with COLD water.

DONE!

Let me know if you try it!!

Have a fun and safe Holiday weekend friends!
You guessed it..we are beach bound! And you better believe my Biosilk is comming with me!! lol

XOXO

Neutrals by BEHR Paint

I've been working on a project for the past two weeks and what always seems to be the most challenging part is choosing paint colors.  I have been wanting to find a nice neutral that isn't too "Gray" and isn't too "Beige" but not too white either. I personally like the look of white walls in pictures but in reality I'm not a huge fan.  Also, I like to see a contrast between painted walls and white trim.  Each time I look over on Pinterest for inspiration I find lots of suggestions for other paint brands..but I'm a BEHR girl :)  We spend so much time at Home Depot it just makes more sense for us.  That being said I decided to share with all of you my suggestions for finding the perfect "light Greige" by BEHR Paints!   To start off with here are three options that are lighter/cooler but will still show a nice contrast next to white. 1. Drizzle 2. Sterling 3. Halation These three options are als

4 Tips for Selling Your Home!

*Sponsored Post. Thank you to our talented guest blogger, Alex Berger, for sharing these 4 tips on selling your home!* Selling your home can be extremely stressful, but if you are in the beginning stages of the home selling process, I have a few tips for you! About four years ago, my parents packed up their home and moved from Marietta, Georgia to Amelia Island, which is about 30-40 minutes from the Jacksonville airport. They had no idea what to expect when it came to buying in a city that was completely new to them (they had only visited Jacksonville once - for two days!), so it was pretty stressful for them. Now, looking back, they could have done many things differently in order to make the process a lot easier for themselves, especially when it came to selling their home. But, since the selling process is so complex and stressful, a lot of people do it “wrong,” and they are just one of many, which is why I want to help. Here are a few tips for selling your home. Hopefully
