Family trip to Daytona Beach and Max Beach Resort!

Disclaimer   *Thank you to Max Beach Resort for hosting us on this stay.  All opinions written about our stay are my own.*

Daytona Beach has been on my travel list for a while! Over the past three years we would stop and grab lunch in Daytona but it was always while driving through the area.  This past weekend I packed up the family and we spent three days exploring Daytona Beach and enjoying ourselves at the most beautiful resort!!

Daytona Beach is about a 2-2 1/2 hour drive from Tampa which makes it the perfect weekend getaway! We arrived on a Friday afternoon, the sun was shining and we were ready for some fun!

We stayed at The Max Beach Resort which is an all new luxury condo resort.  From the moment we arrived I could tell we were going to love this place!!  We stayed in a three bedroom oceanfront condo.  Each room came with their own full bathroom, there was a spacious full kitchen, family room and even a laundry room!

The balcony was one of the largest we've ever seen! Which was perfect because the views from the resort can be seen from any angle.  (We spent lots of time out on this balcony. Florida living!!)

The resort features all day dining, pool side service and even private cabana rentals.  We ordered some lunch and took in all the magnificent beach views while dining al fresco.  The girls were so excited about the rooftop game room we decided to spend the afternoon exploring the resort.  We actually ended up spending the rest of the afternoon in the game room! It was probably the nicest resort game room I have ever seen.  Not only because of the choice games but because of the incredible floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean.  On this same level there were two rooftop lounges and a fitness gym.

By the time dinner rolled around we opted for room service in our suite.  Elton and I relaxed on the balcony and the girls enjoyed hanging out working on some puzzles inside. The condo kind of made you never want to leave!! I could have spent the whole weekend right there!!

On Saturday we had some breakfast and walked the beach with coffee in hand.  Isn't that the best?!  Afterward we decided to take a drive because the weather was getting a bit chilly.  Just a short drive away you can find Ormond Beach which is known for its "cinnamon sand".  The girls thought this was cool since most Florida beaches have sugary white sands.  Afterward we stopped by the Daytona Beach Ocean Walk Shoppes.  We strolled though some beach shops, got ice cream and even stopped in one of our favorites...Sloppy Joes!  This is a fun little spot if you are visiting.

On our way back to the resort that night we decided to stop in a Publix and grab food to make dinner.  I love when hotel resorts offer full kitchens.  It's nice to break up vacation dining with your own meals as well.  We ended up making some lasagna and salad that night all in the comfort of our room!!

If you are planning a stay in Daytona Beach don't hesitate to book Max Beach Resort.  Honestly after my own mother saw our pictures she began looking for a weekend for all of us to go back and stay! The convenience of the large condo is so nice!! It was a wonderful stay and I know we will be back!!

4 Tips for Selling Your Home!

*Sponsored Post. Thank you to our talented guest blogger, Alex Berger, for sharing these 4 tips on selling your home!* Selling your home can be extremely stressful, but if you are in the beginning stages of the home selling process, I have a few tips for you! About four years ago, my parents packed up their home and moved from Marietta, Georgia to Amelia Island, which is about 30-40 minutes from the Jacksonville airport. They had no idea what to expect when it came to buying in a city that was completely new to them (they had only visited Jacksonville once - for two days!), so it was pretty stressful for them. Now, looking back, they could have done many things differently in order to make the process a lot easier for themselves, especially when it came to selling their home. But, since the selling process is so complex and stressful, a lot of people do it “wrong,” and they are just one of many, which is why I want to help. Here are a few tips for selling your home. Hopefully...

If you are struggling, keep reading because here are 5 ways to prepare your home for holiday guests. * Special thanks to my guest blogger Alex Berger for writing up this holiday blog post* 1. Stock The Pantry First of all, take note of who is comming.  Do you know thier likes and dislikes? If so, go ahead and stock the pantry and fridge with the things they prefer.  If you do not know what they enjoy, go ahead and ask them.  The reason that I always love to stock the pantry before my guests arrive is for a few reasons- 1) Having food in the house saves you from having the awkward "what are we going to eat" talk. 2) Having things...
