Decorating with Pier1 Imports

Remember that time I won $1000.00 to Pier1 Imports?! AKA the best DAY EVER!  No honestly.. I will never forget when I found out the dining room picture had won the Pier1Love Contest.  We were all out to lunch (on Amelia Island) and I was casually checking my email when all of a sudden I was like "Whaaaaaat?!" I read the email over and over making sure I wasn't missing something!

There were two items I knew right away I wanted to purchase with the winnings.  The wicker coffee table trunk I had been swooning over for months and a new desk for my husband.  He had previously been using our old console table (that sounds bad but in all honestly it also opened up and doubled as a desk lol)  and with the remaining I would try to finish up the upstairs loft.

Well, I am happy to say I was able to do all that!  Each piece we picked out seemed so perfect for the room it was crazy.  Also I swear I didn't add it all up to be price point perfect but at the end I only went over $14!  Boom! Okay so here is a little look into everything I purchased!

This desk is pretty fantastic! It's long and wide making it perfect to hold not only your laptop but your printer as well! Which is exactly what we needed.  The wood is gorgeous and it has three large drawers to hold papers, pens etc.

I found this large glass and wood base hurricane on sale and thought it would look perfect in our master bedroom! I'm not sure this exact one is still available online.

This wood Cuba print you all went CA-razy over when I shared on my Instagram stories!  My husbands dream (which can now become a reality) is to travel to Cuba and when we both saw this sign..well you can guess... into the cart it went!  It really is even more stunning in person! I thought it worked well in our "beachy" loft space especially since it had the warm oranges and yellows I was trying to add in.

Oh the wicker trunk! I can't even tell you how many times I pictured this trunk in our loft.  It was fate that brought us together that's for sure! ;)

Just the cutest pillow ever!! I kept coming back to this "Beachology" pillow debating where I was going to put it but ultimately I needed it for out back so I made a spot!

I had been wanting to switch out the lamp upstairs (mainly because I wanted to use it in my daughters room since she broke hers lol) so this was basically the perfect time to do it!  I chose a recycled glass lamp with burlap shade to offset the grey wall.

Lastly, this wood wall map was love at first sight! It's fun it's BLUE and I thought it went right along with the feel I was going for up here.

Unfortunately as I'm writing this post the map is no longer available online :(
There are other options though so be sure to give them a look!

There you have it! All my goodies from the Pier1 contest winnings!  A HUGE thank you to PIER1 Imports for being so dang awesome and supportive of their customers!

4 Tips for Selling Your Home!

*Sponsored Post. Thank you to our talented guest blogger, Alex Berger, for sharing these 4 tips on selling your home!* Selling your home can be extremely stressful, but if you are in the beginning stages of the home selling process, I have a few tips for you! About four years ago, my parents packed up their home and moved from Marietta, Georgia to Amelia Island, which is about 30-40 minutes from the Jacksonville airport. They had no idea what to expect when it came to buying in a city that was completely new to them (they had only visited Jacksonville once - for two days!), so it was pretty stressful for them. Now, looking back, they could have done many things differently in order to make the process a lot easier for themselves, especially when it came to selling their home. But, since the selling process is so complex and stressful, a lot of people do it “wrong,” and they are just one of many, which is why I want to help. Here are a few tips for selling your home. Hopefully

Neutrals by BEHR Paint

I've been working on a project for the past two weeks and what always seems to be the most challenging part is choosing paint colors.  I have been wanting to find a nice neutral that isn't too "Gray" and isn't too "Beige" but not too white either. I personally like the look of white walls in pictures but in reality I'm not a huge fan.  Also, I like to see a contrast between painted walls and white trim.  Each time I look over on Pinterest for inspiration I find lots of suggestions for other paint brands..but I'm a BEHR girl :)  We spend so much time at Home Depot it just makes more sense for us.  That being said I decided to share with all of you my suggestions for finding the perfect "light Greige" by BEHR Paints!   To start off with here are three options that are lighter/cooler but will still show a nice contrast next to white. 1. Drizzle 2. Sterling 3. Halation These three options are als
