Project Fair Oaks....That's a wrap!

It's almost April and we just finished up the first project of 2017 which isn't ideal but it happens.  Between working on our own home and being out of the country twice over the past two month we were a little overwhelmed to say the least! It's all good though! We took our time and it paid off because the condo sold in just one day after a bit of a bidding war! (WooHoo!)  So in the words Tarek El Moussa..."Time to look for another house to Flip!"

In the meantime lets get to all the details shall we!  This project was a total gut job (just see the pictures below) but we knew it had a lot of potential!

First thing we did was empty the place...bathrooms, kitchen, floors, baseboards, even the ceilings had to go! After prepping the place with a new ceilling and drywall (as needed) we painted in PAINT: BEHR
 Pixel White.

This looks like a light gray but I swear in person it took on almost a light gray with a blue tint which worked out great because it only helped out with the beachy feel I wanted.

FLOORS: Cumberland Cafe Wood Plank Floors from Floor & Decor

LIGHTING: Lantern Chandelier from WORLD MARKET  (and yes I know that should be an Edison bulb AGAIN lol. Obviously my husband does not know what that means!)

DRAPES: Curtain Rod and Drapes from IKEA (LENDA Curtains)

Opening up this kitchen was a must! We did have to loose some cabinets but we enlarged the counter space and the overall open feeling of it made it worth it!

CABINETS: Shaker White Cabinets and granite from a Local Private Installer.

BACKSPLASH: Carrara White Hexagonal Marble from FLOOR & DECOR

APPLIANCES: AMANA Stainless Steel from HOME DEPOT (Stove, Hood, Dishwasher and Fridge)

CABINET HARDWARE from WALMART

SHOWER TILE: Pure Spa Blue 8mm from FLOOR & DECOR
Floor Tile: 2" White Square tiles from FLOOR & DECOR

MASTER VANITY: Home Depot
MIRROR: WALMART
FIXTURE: HOME DEPOT

MASTER BATH TILE: PURE SNOW Subway tile 3x6 from FLOOR & DECOR
I fell in love with this pure snow glass tile because it reflected the wall color which is hard to show in pictures but trust me it was oh so pretty!

Well folks, that's a wrap! Hopefully the closing goes smoothly and we can begin to search out new properties soon!

XOXO

4 Tips for Selling Your Home!

*Sponsored Post. Thank you to our talented guest blogger, Alex Berger, for sharing these 4 tips on selling your home!* Selling your home can be extremely stressful, but if you are in the beginning stages of the home selling process, I have a few tips for you! About four years ago, my parents packed up their home and moved from Marietta, Georgia to Amelia Island, which is about 30-40 minutes from the Jacksonville airport. They had no idea what to expect when it came to buying in a city that was completely new to them (they had only visited Jacksonville once - for two days!), so it was pretty stressful for them. Now, looking back, they could have done many things differently in order to make the process a lot easier for themselves, especially when it came to selling their home. But, since the selling process is so complex and stressful, a lot of people do it “wrong,” and they are just one of many, which is why I want to help. Here are a few tips for selling your home. Hopefully...

Getting Your Home Ready For Holiday Guests!

The holidays are comming- can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week?! I cannot! With the holidays approaching, I figured that this post was very timely.  I'm sure alot of you are currently stressing out about preparing your home for holiday guests and some of you might not know where to start.  Well, let me help you out. If you are struggling, keep reading because here are 5 ways to prepare your home for holiday guests. * Special thanks to my guest blogger Alex Berger for writing up this holiday blog post* 1. Stock The Pantry First of all, take note of who is comming.  Do you know thier likes and dislikes? If so, go ahead and stock the pantry and fridge with the things they prefer.  If you do not know what they enjoy, go ahead and ask them.  The reason that I always love to stock the pantry before my guests arrive is for a few reasons- 1) Having food in the house saves you from having the awkward "what are we going to eat" talk. 2) Having things...
