Dreaming of a White {Coastal} Christmas...

This year my whole house is decorated in the traditional Christmas decor of red and green.  In previous years I had placed a small tree in our bedroom but last year that one actually became our back patio tree so our bedroom had no holiday cheer.  This was kind of bumming me out, especially seeing all the beautiful bedrooms on Instagram.  Then I got the opportunity to order a beautiful 7ft Tribeca white spruce tree from
King Of Christmas  I knew as soon as our tree arrived I wanted it to be light and bright and coastal! I have been spending the past few months really simplifying our bedroom and knew this tree would fit right in.  The tree arrived within a week and was SO easy to put together.  What I loved most was literally NO branch needles fell off while I was setting up this tree! Amazing I know!! I immediately wanted to get to decorating this beauty!

I definitely didn't want to go out and spend lots of money buying ornaments to decorate this tree so I got to thinking...I had some bleached out sand dollars in the garage that I collected over our numerous boat outings.  I gathered up those and some shells from our backyard.  Overnight I had the shells sit in some bleach and the next day I hot glued on some twine to hang them.  The sand dollars naturally have slits in them where I pulled some twine though.

The tree still needed some more decor so I grabbed my favorite burlap ribbon I always buy from WalMart and cut out lots of little circles that I hung using fishing line!  I grabbed about two dozen silver jingle bells that I had previously purchased from JoAnn Fabrics from when I added them to my PomPom wreath for the holidays.  Which also got me thinking..."Hey my thick leftover yarn FROM my PomPom wreath" so with the little leftover I had from that I made some small pompoms that I could just pop on the tree.

I grabbed a few silver ornaments from our big tree which didn't hurt a thing since that tree is fully loaded! Ha! Lastly I did order 10 3" real bleached out starfish from an online Etsy Store.

All in all I'm SO happy with this tree and all my little DIY ornaments.  It fits right into our bedroom theme and color scheme.  In the evening this tree is so magical and bright! We've been spending much more time watching our evening shows cuddled up in the bedroom!

Thanks for checking out our White (Coastal) Christmas Tree!
XOXO

Neutrals by BEHR Paint

I've been working on a project for the past two weeks and what always seems to be the most challenging part is choosing paint colors.  I have been wanting to find a nice neutral that isn't too "Gray" and isn't too "Beige" but not too white either. I personally like the look of white walls in pictures but in reality I'm not a huge fan.  Also, I like to see a contrast between painted walls and white trim.  Each time I look over on Pinterest for inspiration I find lots of suggestions for other paint brands..but I'm a BEHR girl :)  We spend so much time at Home Depot it just makes more sense for us.  That being said I decided to share with all of you my suggestions for finding the perfect "light Greige" by BEHR Paints!   To start off with here are three options that are lighter/cooler but will still show a nice contrast next to white. 1. Drizzle 2. Sterling 3. Halation These three options are als

4 Tips for Selling Your Home!

*Sponsored Post. Thank you to our talented guest blogger, Alex Berger, for sharing these 4 tips on selling your home!* Selling your home can be extremely stressful, but if you are in the beginning stages of the home selling process, I have a few tips for you! About four years ago, my parents packed up their home and moved from Marietta, Georgia to Amelia Island, which is about 30-40 minutes from the Jacksonville airport. They had no idea what to expect when it came to buying in a city that was completely new to them (they had only visited Jacksonville once - for two days!), so it was pretty stressful for them. Now, looking back, they could have done many things differently in order to make the process a lot easier for themselves, especially when it came to selling their home. But, since the selling process is so complex and stressful, a lot of people do it “wrong,” and they are just one of many, which is why I want to help. Here are a few tips for selling your home. Hopefully
