It's almost here....

As most of you know this summer I began putting into action one of my ultimate dreams! Opening a boutique!  I can't even begin to explain how much I have always dreamt about this.  When I left teaching around 8 years ago I actually did open a small online store selling brand name, slightly used childrens clothes. I had such high hoped of tuning it into a brick and mortar store eventually.  The store was called "Adam & Ava" after my firstborn.  I learned right away I was not at the point in my life (at home with a newborn) to commit to something so time demanding.  Sadly after the merchandise all sold I closed it down and focused on being home.

Fast forward to today.  My blog and my social influencing platforms have opened so many doors for me and I feel like I am finally ready to begin this dream again.  Only this time alllll the things I have focused on and loved about SunnyChicHome will be the main platform of the store.  Clothes, accessories and home decor! It will literally be the curated collection of my dreams!

Although this new adventure will be all driven by me, I have taken on a partnership with one the the BEST fashion wholesalers and I am over the moon excited!! I will be able to bring you all everything and more than I ever imagined! I've laid awake each night this week thinking about and second guessing this new adventure but I know I have to try! You all have been with me for years and I look forward to starting this amazing, crazy, scary, exciting new journey with you!

I've gotten a lot of messages about if I will be leaving behind my social pages and blog.  I have no plans to! So far this fall and winter I have awesome collaborations already lined up that have brought on a new excitement for me! I admit over the past year the social media side of things has gotten repetitive.  I feel like everyone competes and shares each others "finds and deals". I do miss the days where pages were more for inspiration. However after this summer I'm feeling refreshed and full of ideas when it comes to my blog and decorating.  I also am hoping my boutique brings you inspiration and something new to your social media feeds.

You all will be the first to know when I announce the store name....and that should possibly be released this week!!

Cheers to a new journey! So glad yall are a part of it!

XOXO
Tracy

4 Tips for Selling Your Home!

*Sponsored Post. Thank you to our talented guest blogger, Alex Berger, for sharing these 4 tips on selling your home!* Selling your home can be extremely stressful, but if you are in the beginning stages of the home selling process, I have a few tips for you! About four years ago, my parents packed up their home and moved from Marietta, Georgia to Amelia Island, which is about 30-40 minutes from the Jacksonville airport. They had no idea what to expect when it came to buying in a city that was completely new to them (they had only visited Jacksonville once - for two days!), so it was pretty stressful for them. Now, looking back, they could have done many things differently in order to make the process a lot easier for themselves, especially when it came to selling their home. But, since the selling process is so complex and stressful, a lot of people do it “wrong,” and they are just one of many, which is why I want to help. Here are a few tips for selling your home. Hopefully

Neutrals by BEHR Paint

I've been working on a project for the past two weeks and what always seems to be the most challenging part is choosing paint colors.  I have been wanting to find a nice neutral that isn't too "Gray" and isn't too "Beige" but not too white either. I personally like the look of white walls in pictures but in reality I'm not a huge fan.  Also, I like to see a contrast between painted walls and white trim.  Each time I look over on Pinterest for inspiration I find lots of suggestions for other paint brands..but I'm a BEHR girl :)  We spend so much time at Home Depot it just makes more sense for us.  That being said I decided to share with all of you my suggestions for finding the perfect "light Greige" by BEHR Paints!   To start off with here are three options that are lighter/cooler but will still show a nice contrast next to white. 1. Drizzle 2. Sterling 3. Halation These three options are als
